TEXT
Numerical Analysis: Mathematics of Scientific Computing 3rd edition, by Kincaid and Cheney, Brooks and Cole, 2002.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
The goal of this course is to learn tools to find and analyze the numerical solution of ordinary and partial differential equations. Each student will complete one project in ordinary differential equations (ODE) and a second in partial differential equations (PDE).
GRADING SCHEME:
Late Homework Policy: Homework should be turned in on the date it is due, and unless there are extenuating circumstances, there is a 10% per day late penalty.
Collaboration Policy: Students may collaborate on homework questions however, once you begin writing the version that you will submit, you may no longer collaborate on that problem. In particular, each student will turn in their own work, and there will be a penalty if students turn in the same work.
