Probability and Statistics for Engineering and the Sciences by Jay L. Devore, Chapters 1-4,7,8,12.

GRADING SCHEME:
Your grade will be determined by:

• Homework (20%) - In general, homework will be collected each Friday, as shown on the attached calendar . You are encouraged to collaborate with others, but you must hand in your own paper.
• Group Project (15%) - Projects will be assigned to groups of two or three, and it includes an oral presentation of your work.
• 3 exams (40%) - These are scheduled February 8, March 21, and April 29. Collaborative work is not allowed. Make-ups are also not allowed, unless there are physician documented health reasons or other documented family difficulties.
• Final (25%) - The final is scheduled for Thursday May 16, from 10:30-12:30 in our regular classroom. Again, collaborative work is not allowed, nor is it possible to make up or re-schedule the final.
