There is no required text. You will be given handouts during class.

GRADING SCHEME:

10 labs (20%) - Labs will be assigned during class and due the following class period. Please hand in clear solutions and remove un-necessary output. You are encouraged to collaborate with others.
2 Quizzes (15%) - One quiz will cover the Maple labs and the second will cover the Matlab labs. Make-ups are not allowed, unless there are physician documented health reasons or other documented family difficulties.
Project (55%) - The project is the most important part of your grade. It is a research assignment in which you will use the Maple and/or Matlab knowledge acquired in class. You must meet with me on at least three occasions to discuss and/or present the (1) project proposal, (2) progress report, and (3) final report.
Presentation (10%) - You will present your project in the weekly mathematics undergraduate seminar.

Your total score must be at least 90% for an A, 80% for a B, 70% for a C, and 60% for a D.
