COMPUTER LABS:


There will be computer labs and homework problems for which we will use Matlab.  During class, labs will be held in MG 104, and you will have an account on these computers.  A schedule of open lab hours will be handed out later in the semester.

CORE OUTCOMES:
After successfully completing MATH 175, students will be able to demonstrate the following competencies in order to fulfill specific requirements set by the Core Philosophy and Goals Statement:

Students will apply and evaluate a variety of strategies for solving  problems by using at least two different methods to solve a single problem.

2. Breadth of Knowledge and Intellectual Perspective

Students will apply theories to scientific problems by setting definite integrals to solve problems involving volumes of rotation, arc length, surface area and work.
