Cryptology 1: Assignments

Policy:

1. Assignments are due by the published due date at the beginning of class.
2. Each assignment has a substantial computational component. You may use MAPLE for these computations.
   Some assignments may require use of resources available on the Internet. The document turned in as your solution to the assignment
   should have two parts.
   • In part 1 you should summarize your results and describe your strategy for solving the assigned problems. Should you have used
     resources from the Internet, a careful reference and description of these and their use, as well as URL's to these resources should be included.
     Part 1 must be a .txt file or a .doc file, and must contain no computations - just the final results.
      
   • In part 2 you should present your MAPLE work, annotated with appropriate commentary which describes the parts of the
     computation to the reader. Should you use another programming language instead of MAPLE, for example Java, C or C++,
     part 2 should be presented for this instead. Where appropriate, you may also include here any relevant printouts of pages found
     on the Internet and referenced in part 1.
   • Having only one of the two parts of an assignment will result in loosing 20% of the total points available for the assignment.
   • Each student has an allowance of  4 late  homeworks  throughout the semester provided these are handed in within 24 hours of the due time. Please mark the submission time for any late assignment. No additional late homeworks will be accepted.
