MATH 143 Textbook and Supplies -- Spring 2008

Three required material items:

1. Textbook: Precalculus: Mathematics for Calculus
   5th Edition
   by Stewart, Redlin, and Watson
   Publisher: Brooks/Cole
   (MATH 143 covers material in chapters 1-4 and 9)

2. On-Line Graphing-Calculator Manual: This is available for your reference free-of-charge by clicking here.
3. Graphing Calculator: A graphing calculator is required, but there is no required brand of graphing calculator.

   The on-line Graphing Calculator Manual contains detailed directions for TI-83, TI-84, TI-86, and TI-89. But it is not required that you have one of these particular calculators.

   Be sure you have access to a graphing calculator before Test #1.

   You cannot share a calculator during a test or quiz, but there's no reason you could not share a calculator with someone in another class.
