Tentative Schedule and Assignments

In this section, I present a tentative schedule of section numbers covered in class with corresponding homework assignments for the whole course. It remains to be seen how faithful to this we will be.

The schedule and assignments given here are taken straight from my schedule the last time I taught this course. They are subject to change as the date gets closer.

We do not explicitly cover the review material in Chapter 1. Sections of Chapter 1 relevant to sections we cover may be shown in parentheses.

CORRECTIONS: This version corrects for an error in the schedule: I had interchanged the Wednesdays Nov. 7 and Nov. 14. Also, it reflects the fact that we are currently one day behind and that Test 3 has been delayed to Wednesday, Nov. 14.
