Over the last seven years, the MLC has used technology to greatly enhance mathematical learning and success for beginning algebra students. With what we have learned, we truly believe that every student can be successful, if they are willing to put forth the time, effort, and energy not only to finish each task asked of the student but also to put forth the extra effort to truly develop an understanding of mathematics.
Recently, the MLC staff has been examining what others have done to create success. During the 2011-2012 academic year we will be implementing and evaluating two different styles of software and approaches. All of these offerings have shown to have tremendous success over textbook/lecture based courses. Our goal is to find the best approach (or combination of approaches) to serve the Boise State Community.
