Intermountain Mathematics Competition

Last years Intermountain Math Competition (IMC) was held on November 5, 2016.  The IMC is an annual Undergraduate Math competition for Universities in the Northwest region. The competition included students from Boise State University; Brigham Young University; University of Nevada, Reno; Idaho State University; and the University of Utah.  Boise State had seven students participate in last year’s event. The participants had three hours to work on seven difficult problems, each worth 10 points. The top scorer for Boise State last year has been Ian Cavey, with a score of 50/70. The highest score of 60 has been attained by a student from the University of Nevada, Reno.
