Masters Degree in Mathematics
Math graduate program poster
(for applications to begin in the fall of 2006)
The Department of Mathematics at Boise State University
offers graduate study leading to a Master of
Science (M.S.) degree in mathematics. The department has strengths
in set theory, topology, knot theory, statistics, computational
statistics, numerical analysis,
cryptology,
and applied and computational
mathematics. This expertise is reflected in our dynamic
curriculum.
The Master of Science degree in mathematics provides a solid
foundation in the theoretical and applied aspects of mathematics.
The program aims to provide students with a broad background in mathematics and
the opportunity of concentration in an area of special interest.
