THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANY
John Coe-Roper (1979-80) Tenor John Coe-Roper
studied at the Royal Academy of Music, earning L.R.A.M. and G.S.R.M. pianoforte
diplomas, and the Guildhall School of Music.
Before joining the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company he was, for 14 years, Head
of Music in an East Anglian grammar school, where he produced, and frequently
appeared in, Gilbert & Sullivan operas.
He also served as musical director and chorus master in local amateur
operatic societies. John Coe-Roper served in the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company chorus from January 1979 to August 1980. |
