Broude Brothers Limited Edition
Edited by Steven Ledbetter. This is the only fully-researched, scholarly edition of Trial by Jury,
comprising Full Score, Vocal Score and Orchestra Parts. Many years have
been spent examining all known sources to produce this highly detailed
scholarly edition that is also practical for use in performance. For
reasons explained fully in the introduction to the Full Score, it
reflects the settled state of the 1884 revival, with all divergent
readings documented and explained in the critical apparatus. There is
therefore sufficient information provided to enable an accurate
performance of the 1877 version of the opera when required.
- FULL SCORE (published 1994). Includes introduction, libretto with
critical apparatus, full conductor's score with critical apparatus.
- VOCAL SCORE (published 1999). Includes piano-vocal score with critical
apparatus, discography, errata list for the Full Score.
- ORCHESTRA PARTS to match the full score and vocal score.
