"The New Burlesque — An Undress Rehearsal" from The Graphic, 1871 and identified by John Hollingshead as a rehearsal for Thespis in his Gaiety Chronicles. Probably a rehearsal for the Ballet in Act II. From the Penny Illustrated for 30 December 1871. Part of a composite drawing illustrating several Christmas entertainments. Thespis has just arrived on Olympus.
