  Why weepest thou?
  Whom seekst thou?

Mary.
  For these things I weep,
For these things I weep,
Because they have taken away my Lord,
    and I know not where they have laid him.
  Awake! thou that sleepest,
Awake! thou that sleepest,
    and arise from the dead.

An Angel.
  Fear not,
    ye seek Jesus which was crucified,
why seek ye the living among the dead?
  He is not here,
    He is risen as he said.
  Remember how he spake unto you
    while he was yet in Galilee.
