British Musical Theatre

While the Gilbert and Sullivan operas have prospered and are alive and well more than a century after their birth, most of the other British Musical Theatre through the First World War has been largely forgotten today. This section of the Gilbert and Sullivan Archive is dedicated to this large body of musical theatre, much of it quite excellent, and some deserving revivals today.

This site concentratrates on the non-Gilbert and Sullivan and the non-Savoy Theatre works, which are fully covered in the Gilbert and Sullivan Archive.
