William Thompson Wright was stage manager with Mr. D'Oyly Carte's No. 2 "Patience" Company from December 1881 to February 1883. For portions of that time, he took the silent walk-on part of Mr. Bunthorne's Solicitor.

In February 1883 he was made advance (publicity) manager for No. 2 "Patience," a position he held with various D'Oyly Carte touring companies until December 1886.
