Oliver Neville (1951-52)

Oliver Neville made his first appearance in a London program as an extra in Christopher Marlowe's Tamburlaine the Great at the Old Vic in September 1951. He joined the D'Oyly Carte Opera Company as a chorister in November of that year but left the Company in July 1952 at the end of the season.

He later appeared in London as a footman in Sheridan's The Rivals (Saville, 1956), before returning to the Old Vic in Shakespeare's Hamlet, Henry VI, and Measure for Measure (1957); King Lear, Twelfth Night, and Henry VIII (1958); and The Tempest (1959).

Neville was married for a time to D'Oyly Carte soprano Shirley Hall.
