THE D'OYLY CARTE OPERA COMPANYGeorge King Morgan (1881-87) George King Morgan was one of the "Gentlemen of the Chorus" at the Opera Comique who signed a letter of appreciation to Gilbert, Sullivan, and Carte in January 1882. He probably remained with the D'Oyly Carte in London until 1887, for we know that a Mr. Morgan was in the choruses of both The Mikado and Ruddigore during their initial productions at the Savoy. |
