Hollis Coote (1909-12)

Tenor Hollis Coote appeared with the D'Oyly Carte Principal Repertory Opera Company from July 1909 to May 1912. A chorister and understudy, he appeared regularly as Francesco in The Gondoliers throughout his tenure, and filled in on occasion as Marco (March 1910) and Luiz (1910-11) in the same opera. He also appeared for a time in 1911 as First Citizen in The Yeomen of the Guard.
