(Miss) Clayton (1878)

Miss Clayton was probably a chorister with Carte's Comedy-Opera Company at the Opera Comique during the first run of The Sorcerer. Her only known appearance in an Opera Comique program was as Lady Viola in the James Albery & Alfred Cellier operetta The Spectre Knight when it was performed in a matinee with Trial by Jury and a George Grossmith entertainment "Amateur Theatricals" at some point between March and May 1878.
