The Pinafore Pirates
The Pinafore Pirates, presented by Musicline Publications. In a plot which has echoes of The Magnificent Seven, Daisy (daughter of Buttercup) seeks help to thwart a band of outrageous female pirates, who have taken her lover as a hostage. Father Christmas
A G&S parody by W. H Tarpy and P. M. Clarke. Written and performed in 1979 by the Newcastle University G&S Society. Uses the music from G&S opera songs, with modified lyrics. Bill Tarpy submitted the complete libretto for this opera to the Archive.
Cinderella
Written and stitched together by Brad Fillipone. Manages to be faithful to the two duos .. the Brothers Grim and G&S. It comprises many of the very best pieces from the Savoy Operas, many almost unchanged. Where the lyrics and dialogue are re-written, they
ring very true to the Gilbertian style. The format of "Cinderella" is also very much that of the original operas: the fairy tale does of course lend itself well to the customary crisis situation in the Act I finale. "Cinderella" had its premiere in Halifax, Nova Scotia in late November 1998, where it was performed by the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Nova Scotia.

The Pirates of Pinafore
The Pirates of Pinafore, a
full-length musical theater parody, by David Eaton. The characters of Gilbert and Sullivan appear in the piece. Several of

Fraser Charlton Musicals
Gilbert and Sullivan parodies, and other musicals, by Fraser Charlton. Includes the full libretto
for Fraser's parody Wicked Waxworks. John Wellington Wells, the sorcerer, brings to life the waxworks of Grimsby and Gertrude Grice so that they can commit burglaries. His love potion also causes problems between the central couple of Edwin and Angelina... Also links to Fraser's own web site for information on Mutiny on the Pinafore, the long-awaited sequel to H.M.S. Pinafore! Reprimanding Captain Rackstraw for encouraging too much
equality, Sir Joseph refuses to shake Edward Corcoran’s hand at his wedding to Little Buttercup.
Edward punches him and is condemned to hang, provoking a mutiny and leading to the revelation of a
long-held secret. Bringing together the familiar characters in a new story based on the Bab Ballads, this show finally explains how Edward Corcoran rises from the rank of Able Seamen at the end of Pinafore to the rank
of Captain in Utopia Ltd.! Mixing familiar and unfamiliar songs, this show has proved to be a big hit with
audiences.
A lively, funny show with magic, romance, fighting and plenty of ‘in-jokes’ for a G&S audience! Enjoyed
by all ages.
